We're back 31 October with UmBaqanga weBlues & Children of the Sun Live at Last Thursdays
Live music can never leave Braamfontein, it is the veins that have fed the establishment of this vibrant part of the city. With this in mind KCB has created a new night of live music to look forward to, curated by Siyabonga Mthembu, lead singer of Shabaka and The Brother Moves On.
Our country history has been narrated through music. The streets of Braamfontein have been lit up by eclectic sounds and Kitcheners has always been home to the alternative kids.
Together with TOMS - Braamfontein, the second installation of live@last Thursday invites vibrant neo jazz collectives informed by a study of greats like Standley Clarke and John Coltrane moving towards a future harmonic balanced sound like those of Moses Molelekwa and Tutu Poeani.
We welcome the beautiful sounds of Soweto based bands Children of the Sun (BANA BA Letsatsi) and UmBaqanga Weblues.
